Amon Tobin ISAM Live - A Visual Bonanza!

Quite possibly one of the most technologically innovative and inspiring live multi media shows I have ever seen! A mixture of awe and fascination was felt throughout the whole audience as they gazed at this spectacle at the Music Box in Hollywood. Not only is Amon Tobin a fantastic electronic musician, but like Bjork he finds people to work with who are wildly talented at what they do. The laser projection system that traced the 3d cube stage set, swapped animations both graphic and literal with science fiction industrial motifs that tailored perfectly to his musical atmospheres. The primary technology is created by http://www.derivative.ca/, and the possibilities are incredible with this new software system. So excited to brainstorm on that! A big BRAVO to Amon Tobin for a job well done. Thank you for keeping dreams alive, by planting new ones, my hero!

Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers

Was AMAZING! Steve Martin did an interview with Dave Barry and then went on to play banjo the rest of the evening. Cracking jokes the whole time! It was a highlight performance to see in a lifetime despite being in such a commercial venue(LA Nokia Thater). I will give the Nokia theater the applause for amazing sound though, super crisp and well engineered to the room! Wow Steve Martin still can kick ass! I'll try not to think about the Pink Panther movies too much now...

Galco's!!!!

How The Day Sounds from Miky Wolf on Vimeo.

This video and song are cool. But the coolest part about it is that it was shot at Galco's, the soda pop store in my Highland park hood! Woooohooo highland park is the best! Elijah Wood in the house, oh FRODOOOOOO you are the best!

Bike to Work Day May 15th, 2008

Wow just heard about this. I've recently been braving the streets of LA and bike commuting to work. It's 15 miles along the 5 frwy bike path for me and its awesome! I love it. Such a great way to fit in exercise in my computer heavy lifestyle. If you are thinking about trying it out, DO! And make a pledge to do so for prizes! Metro is free this day to everyone with a bike or bike helmet. So bike even one way on it, if that gets you out the door! Contribute your energy to making transportation just a little bit better in LA. Here is the link to find out more about it.
