At Computer - 5

The Deck at Present

King size bed,
Swimming up to sleep with you.

Queen size dreams,
From the days delicious doings.

All Jacked up,
From expeditions we beheld.

Ten heavy trees,
weighed down by drifting snow.

Nine lacy flakes,
Caught with tongue sticking out.

Eight flighty tracks,
Left by leaping doe in quiet wood.

Seven crackers left,
To fill my empty stomach.

Six breaths to take,
To catch up with the pace

Five wandering geese,
Flying overhead.

Four eyes looking,
Down the slopes with speed.

Three people calling,
Wait up for me.

Two skis sliding,
Waxing stripes into the powder.

One contented soul,
With deck in hand to play!
